The big news this week is that my collaborator, David Raynor, has finished editing DARK ANGELS and it's been submitted to the Berlin and Byron Bay International Film Festivals. Well done Dave! It's taken a while to put it together and hopefully it can do one better than HEART ATTACK and actually get accepted. Fingers crossed!
In other news....I had a big conversation with Deborah Kol, my producer on DeCodeMe, yesterday, regarding the treatment. We got about half way through it so are scheduled to go through the rest today. All-in-all, the feedback has been pretty good from Deborah's industry contacts. Some tweaking and finessing to be done, for sure, but hopefully we'll get there.
The scripts that were recently shortlisted for various competitions, 2 x 3, TABLE FOR TWO? and IN A HOLE, didn't win, but still good to get shortlisted. THE DROWNED MAN has made it to the 2nd round of the British Short Screenplay Competition, so pretty pleased with that. And PERFORMANCE HEART has been getting more interest on InkTip.
Tonight I'm meeting up with my playwriting class mates. I'm going to submit PROJECT 629 to a playwriting contest, the deadline for which is this weekend.
